Sivakasi: R.R. Laxman hailing from the ICF, with 9.5 points from 11 rounds, won the rapid title in the Sivakasi Chess Club FIDE-rated chess tournament on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, S. Nitin of SSN bagged the blitz title. Three players, Nitin, Swapnil Dhopade (Railways) and M.S. Thejkumar (Railways) were tied for the top spot with eight points each. However, Nitin was declared winner as per the Buchholz tie-break.
