Chandigarh: The Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration, celebrated National Sports Day on August 29 on birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.
To commemorate the occasion a 3 KM race consisting of around 500 participants of different games were flagged off by Capt Karnail Singh, PCS, Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration, at 6.45 am onwards.
The starting and finishing point was Hockey Stadium, Sector-42, Chandigarh. All the coaches of the Sports Department were present at Hockey Stadium, Sector-42, Chandigarh on the occasion.
