virender sehwagNew Delhi: British journalist Piers Morgan’s sarcastic tweet on India’s celebrations on winning two medals – silver by shuttler PV Sindhu and bronze by wrestler Sakshi Malik – did not go down well with the die-hard Indian fans. The UK journalist was trolled for making fun of India’s performance at Olympics.

Morgan had shared his opinion on team India’s performance in Rio in reply to a tweet from an Indian that mentioned how the two medallists Sakshi Malik and PV Sindhu were welcomed in India, saying, “Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that?”
Apart from others India’s cricketing great Virender Sehwag too gave a befitting reply to Morgan and reminded him on Twitter that “Indians cherish every small happiness, but England who invented the sport of cricket are yet to win a world cup.”
