Chandigarh: Anupam Kumar from Allahabad was declared winner in the men’s category of the fifth All-India Defence Accounts Department (DAD) Chess Tournament on Thursday.
AK Srivastava of PCDA (CC), Lucknow, was the first runner-up on the final day of the three-day tournament, while SC Sinha of CDA, Guwahati, finished as the second runner-up. In the women’s category, SA Haque of the CFA (factories), Nagpur, stood first.
31 players including 24 men and seven women from Defence Accounts Department (DAD) from all over the country took part in the tournament.
