New Delhi: Sumit Nagal defeated David Vofsonof Canada 1-6, 6-1, 10-6 in the final of the under-14 boys’ section of the 23rd America Cup international tennis championship at the Miccosukee Tennis Club in Miami recently. In the semifinals, he beat Evgeny Tyurnev of Russia 6-2, 3-6, 10-5.
Sumit did not drop a set in the first four rounds when he beat players from Japan, Serbia, Israel and Denmark.
