Arun Jaitley, vice-president of BCCI and a member of the Board’s Disciplinary Committee has ensured that the “tough action” will be taken against those who will be found guilty of involvement in spot-fixing scandal that has thrilled the entire cricketing fraternity.

Jaitley, has made it loud and clear that fair investigation would be conducted to resolve the serious issue of spot-fixing which has tarnished the image of IPL. He was quoted by Times of India saying, “The Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) of BCCI are looking into all these matters. Supreme Court has given BCCI a 15-day time limit. It will give its report which will come up before the Disciplinary Committee.”

BCCI vice-president was quoted by Indian Express saying, “If we find that the claims of Delhi and Mumbai Police are right regarding the involvement of three Rajasthan Royals players in spot-fixing then we are going to take the toughest action possible against all three.”

Scandal took a dramatic turn when the son-in-law of BCCI president N Srinivasan and Chennai Super Kings owner Gurunath Meiyappan; was caught by the Mumbai Police for his alleged involvement in betting. Srinivasan has made it quite clear that he is not going to leave the post of president-ship at any cost as he has got nothing do with the Chennai Super Kings.
