Indian captain MS Dhoni said that T20 is a format where one needs to innovate and play smart cricket, says a report in The Hindu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a very different format. You have to be innovative. You have to play smart and, at the same time, bold cricket,\u201d Dhoni said <\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s about playing good cricket that day for three-and-a-half hours\u2026 actually it is not even three-and-a-half hours. One good innings from an individual can take the game away from the opposition. Anything can happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the T20 World Cup format he said, \u201cYou just hope to be consistent and good throughout the tournament, especially in the knockout stages. Maybe, in the league stages, you can have a bad game. But, in the knockout stages if you have a bad game, you will be going home.\u201d<\/p>\n

On India\u2019s chances, Dhoni said, \u201cWe have a very good side. That\u2019s a big positive for us. I feel the youngsters who have come into the side are really hungry for more. They want to do well for the country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Deccan Chronicle<\/strong> reports that MS Dhoni on Yuvraj Singh\u2019s return said, \u201cYeah it was a big game for him. You know he was coming back after nine or ten months and all eyes were on him. It was good to see him on the field. He chipped in with a couple of overs and batted well. I personally feel that he gives us the right kind of balance. I am really happy for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut once you go onto the field you don\u2019t think about all these things. The main motto is to execute your plans. I have always believed that if some of these things happen, you should try to keep it simple. Given that he is playing after ten months, you will put pressure on him because he doesn\u2019t know where he stands but overall I think he is in the right groove.
