{"id":9870,"date":"2012-09-09T08:00:13","date_gmt":"2012-09-09T08:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=9870"},"modified":"2012-09-09T08:00:13","modified_gmt":"2012-09-09T08:00:13","slug":"italian-gp-di-resta-handed-five-place-grid-penalty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=9870","title":{"rendered":"Italian GP: Di Resta handed five place grid penalty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/racing\/paul-di-rasta.jpg\" alt=\"Italian GP: Di Resta handed five place grid penalty \" width=\"200\" style=\"margin: 6px; float: left;\" \/>Monza:<\/strong> <a href=\"search.html?cx=partner-pub-2004395898380537%3A5221044443&amp;cof=FORID%3A10&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;q=Sahara+Force+India&amp;sa=Se\">Sahara Force India<\/a> driver <a href=\"search.html?cx=partner-pub-2004395898380537%3A5221044443&amp;cof=FORID%3A10&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;q=Paul+Di+Resta+&amp;sa=Search\">Paul Di Resta <\/a> was handed a five-place grid penalty and will start which will see him start Sunday\u2019s Italian Grand Prix from the ninth position.<\/p>\n<p>Di Resta who had a very good qualifying round and finished fourth was penalised due to an unscheduled gearbox change.<\/p>\n<p>Resta clocked 1m 24.304s in Q3 to finish fourth and now his penalty adds on to Force India\u2019s woes after <a href=\"search.html?cx=partner-pub-2004395898380537%3A5221044443&amp;cof=FORID%3A10&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;q=Nico+Hulkenburg&amp;sa=Search\">Nico Hulkenburg<\/a> who was eliminated when his car was hit by technical issues and had to leave the race.<\/p>\n<p>Hulkenberg&#8217;s VJM05 could not set a time following a fuel-pressure issue and finished last. His starting position in the race is yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m very happy with my Q3 lap, which was my quickest lap so far &#8211; so we maximised it when it mattered. I think the entire team has done an excellent job to get us in this position,\u201d Resta said after the qualifying race.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I knew I was going to have a grid penalty for the gearbox change, which is frustrating, but at least I will start inside the top ten. The challenge now is to make sure we have the race pace and use the strategy to come away with points,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Hulkenberg was upset with the technical snag and termed the session as a disappointing one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA very short and disappointing session for me. I was about to start my first timed lap in Q1 when I suddenly lost drive. I pulled over at the first chicane and the team told me to switch off the car.
