Twenty participants from 9 different states of India are attending the meet.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the Programme is to help the active national referees switch over to teaching mode and training the young referees of their state.<\/p>\n<p>The training is divided into methods of teaching, individual presentation by participants, physical preparation of referees, live match assessment of referees, small group debate and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Gautam Kar, Head of Refereeing Department of All India Football Federation (AIFF), said: \u201cLot of National Level Referees have been leaving the refereeing arena, after they finish their career as a referee. It\u2019s because of a hollow path before them. Hence, we took up this Programme to tap the potential, train them and keep them glued to the main stream of Referees\u2019 Development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kar is in Guwahati along with other instructors J Ravishankar (Delhi) and Mrinal Kanti Roy (Assam).<\/p>\n<p>Roopak Mukharji (Chhattishgarh), a participant, added: \u201cWe never knew there is so much to learn about Refereeing Training.
