\"chowrasia\"Crans Montana<\/strong>: India\u2019s S.S.P. Chowrasia<\/a> is delighted that his performance at the Omega European Masters<\/a> has brought back the much-needed confidence as he seeks to make his return to the winner\u2019s circle on the Asian Tour.<\/p>\n

The two-time Asian Tour winner signed off his Swiss campaign with an even-par 71 for a four-day total of three-under-par 280 at the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy with my result this week. I\u2019ve been struggling lately and this performance has come at the right time,\u201d said Chowrasia, who missed the cuts in three of his five starts on the Asian Tour before this week\u2019s Omega European Masters.<\/p>\n

Chowrasia had to battle the testing weather conditions over the opening two rounds and he only managed to make it to the weekend rounds right on the cutline.<\/p>\n

Chowrasia however, showed that he could still put up a stiff challenge when he returned for his final 36 holes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was good. The way I\u2019ve been playing just shows that I getting back into form which is important with big events coming up on the Asian Tour,\u201d said Chowrasia.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile compatriot Jyoti Randhawa<\/a> matched his opening best score of 68 on the final day to finish alongside Chowrasia on 280.<\/p>\n

The eight-time Asian Tour winner took pride in his week\u2019s performance especially after a two-month lay-off from golf<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very pleased with how I\u2019ve played as I\u2019ve not play much golf over the last two months and coming here, finishing three-under for the week, I take that anytime,\u201d said Randhawa.<\/p>\n

While Randhawa is eyeing more glory on the Asian Tour, he knows that he has to continue to pace himself so that he remains competitive.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing forward from here, I need to be in good shape and well-rested to perform because as you get older, you need to be more careful with your body and your mental frame,\u201d said the 40-year-old.<\/p>\n

The Omega European Masters is the first event in Europe to be co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour since 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
