Dempo Sports Club has been in sublime form this season and there is no reason why Round VI I-League football championship match against Pune FC would be any different regardless of what the past record tells.<\/p>\n
The team under Armando Colaco is a perfectly balanced side having won all their matches to be on top with 15 points against their name.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, Pune FC has problems a plenty\u2014foremost being the low morale after getting back-to-back drubbing in Kolkata from Prayag United SC and East Bengal. To top is all, the home team will be forced to play with third-choice goalkeeper after Shahinlal Meloly, too reported injured during the Kolkata trip.<\/p>\n
Playing in front of their fans should be the only morale booster, but Pune FC will have to pull up more than socks to even hold Dempo with a draw\u2014their win in Federation Cup could just be an aberration at this point of time.<\/p>\n
For the record though, Pune FC has an unbeaten record against Dempo SC in the last two seasons wherein the home side won once and drew the other match. But that would mean nothing on the morrow.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019 sour home match and we have performed better in Pune and we need to concentrate on doing just that,\u201d said Coach Derrick Pereira.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to get a result and for that the need of the hour is to play above potential,\u201d he added referring to the fact that his team has not won a point since Round III match.<\/p>\n
Pune FC with five points is currently in 10th place with Shillong Lajong, but Pereira said: \u201caway matches are different and we need not think much about what has happened instead move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pune FC will miss the services of left-wing back Gurjinder Kumar who carries forward a double booking. On the other hand, left medio Paresh Shivalkar is declared fit. Striker Mandjou Keita has also been included in the team.<\/p>\n
