Being in the Army has made me mentally tough and used this to my advantage. Whatever I had planned, I have achieved.<\/p>\n<p>On what the Olympic medal means to him he said, \u201cThis medal means such a lot to me. It has been my dream to win an Olympic medal. It is the highest peak you can achieve. I have a lot of medals on the wall but an Olympic one was missing until now. I have been in other competitions where the scoring has been normal like this but this was the Olympic Games. I had to ensure that I retained my composure right through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On the pressure that was on him, Vijay said, \u201cYou can never blank out the fact that you are competing in the Olympic Games but I managed to remain focussed. I knew I had to keep control over my nervous system. This was my first Olympics, I knew I had to keep my focus and concentrate and I did that.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a report in <strong>The Indian Express <\/strong>says that the Indian boxing team is set counter protest against the controversial decision surround Vikas Krishan\u2019s exit.<\/p>\n<p>National coach, Gurbax Singh Sandhu was quoted in the report saying, \u201cWe are reviewing the video ourselves and preparing a counter-protest. We will submit it at the start of the session today in the afternoon at around 1:00pm.
