{"id":8506,"date":"2012-07-17T14:34:22","date_gmt":"2012-07-17T14:34:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=8506"},"modified":"2012-07-17T14:34:22","modified_gmt":"2012-07-17T14:34:22","slug":"archers-weighlifters-and-bindra-check-into-games-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=8506","title":{"rendered":"Archers, weighlifters and Bindra check into Games village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/others\/london_olympics-2012.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"London Olympics\" width=\"250\" style=\"margin: 6px; float: left;\" \/>London<\/strong>: A ten member Indian Archery squad, four member weight lifting team and Beijing Olympic Gold Medalist Abhinav Bindra moved into the London Olympics Games Village and were welcomed by the Dy Chef de Mission of the Indian Contingent PK Muralidharan Raja. <\/p>\n<p>The sprawling Olympic Games Village consists of 2,818 townhouses and apartments and can accommodate 15,000 residents.<\/p>\n<p>The organizers have arranged for volunteers, with each Contingent, who have been trained for nearly six months. The Indian squad will be assisted by 7 NOC volunteers who are all Indian by origin but working in UK.<\/p>\n<p>The Indian Contingent of 81 athletes and 51 officials has been provided accommodation in the Seaside Building S1named as Titan.
