New Delhi<\/strong>: The decision to revive the Indo-Pak cricketing ties might have brought respite to millions of fans of both the countries but then former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that he does see the logic behind decision when Pakistan is not co-operating in the Mumbai terror attack probe.<\/p>\n

“Being a Mumbaikar I feel what is the urgency when there is no co-operation from the other side,” Gavaskar was heard saying to NDTV.<\/p>\n

The bilateral cricketing ties between the neighboring countries broke after the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks and since then India played Pakistan only once and that too in the 2011 World cup semifinals at Mohali.<\/p>\n

The ties revived after Board of Cricket Control of India decided to invite their neighbors for a short series during December 2012 \u2013 January 2013 following the discussion between the foreign secretaries of both the countries of both the countries where they had sport diplomacy as one of their agendas.<\/p>\n

The legendary batsman also felt that as it the Team India have a packed season ahead and sneaking in the Pakistan series in between would deprive them of the much needed break. England would arrive in India for a four match test series followed by two Twenty20 Internationals before going home on Christmas. They would be back to play five One-day Internationals, scheduled to take place from January 11.<\/p>\n

“Well, my first reaction is that the players would be deprived the little time of rest that they had between the England series. They are playing England in November-December but now they are not going to get the breather,” he further.<\/p>\n

Gavaskar felt that the players needed the time to look after their injuries and get better.<\/p>\n
