New Delhi: <\/strong>Deepika Kumari is all set to set the hallowed ground of Lords, which is the venue for the archery event at the 2012 London Olympics, and not only her but national coach Limba Ram too is exuding with confidence and feels that the numero uno archer of the World is a bright prospect for a medal.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeepika is at her peak. She is young and energetic and is never ready to lose. She is very sincere when it comes to training and this will pay her at the big stage,\u201d Ram told the reporters here during a send-off function organized by ONGC, sponsor of Indian Olympic contingent.<\/p>\n

The three times Olympian, Ram said that the ace archer is facing some problems with her game but then is confident that she will be in proper shape by the game begins.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, she is unwell and physically weak. She is facing a bit of problem in shooting against the wind. Hopefully, she recovers in time ahead of the Games,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

And not only from Deepika, the coach is expecting a good show from the whole shooting contingent and feels that the team is well prepared for the Games. \u201cThe team had prepared well and I am hopeful that they can spring some surprises at the London Games. They have a golden chance and mentally they are very confident.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am expecting a medal from Deepika Kumari. Bombalya Devi is also shooting well. Chekvoluru Swuro was struggling with shooting against the wind but now she had improved,\u201d added the national coach.<\/p>\n

“Among men, Jayanta Talukdar and Tarundeep Rai are in good forms, so they are also bright medal hopes in individual category,\u201d he further added.<\/p>\n

This is the first time that the India would field teams in all the four teams and even though Ram is upbeat about the chances, he still feels that the weather conditions during the Games would pose a threat for them.<\/p>\n

“The weather conditions will play a big role. The weather will be extremely different from that of Kollkata where the team was training for the last few days. The London weather will mostly favor the Europeans.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cBut we will have 10 days in hand to adjust. I am sure the team will acclimatize to the conditions there.\u201d<\/p>\n
