But his coach Bob Bowman announced Monday on Twitter that the 27-year-old will be focusing on seven events.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Michael Phelps will be removing the individual 200 freestyle from his Olympic program,&#8221; Bowman tweeted.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>This will give him a full slate of seven events. This means Phelps will swim in the 200 and 400 individual medley and the 100 and 200 butterfly as well as three relay events.<\/p>\n<p>With Phelps dropping the 200 freestyle, Ricky Berens moved up to claim an individual spot on the Olympic team for the first time.
