Well the news from Wimbledon is that Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza crashed out in the first round of the championships after they lost 3-6, 1-6 to Australia-Russian pair of Paul Hanley and Alla Kurdryavtseva in just 50 minutes.<\/p>\n
All the drama surrounding the composition of the Indian tennis team for the London Olympics seemed to have weighed down on Bhupathi and Sania, who few weeks ago won the mixed doubles competition at the Roland Garros. And now here at the All England club they barely put up a fight and the pair which entered the tournament fifth seeded lost out to this unseeded pair.<\/p>\n
Well now definitely this loss has something to do with the tension brewing back home prior to their Olympics selection. Mirza-Bhupathi were seen as the front runner to team up at the London Olympics but then thing did not go that way to which Sania retorted saying that Bhupathi in order to fulfil his commitment to play with Rohan Bopannna in Olympics sacrificed the commitment that he made to her.<\/p>\n
Well that statement does show her disappointment and it surely has made their relation go sour and by all means cannot be the way it was earlier. And to make a good pair, the first thing that should exist is a good & healthy relation without which the pair cannot survive. Though there isn\u2019t any media news about their relation turning bad between Sania and Bhupathi, but then looking at their performance in does show that there was lack of chemistry that they had between them a few weeks ago that made them a champion pair and has seen them achieve success together.<\/p>\n
And the fact also cannot be denied that with so much controversy surrounding the players, how could they keep up the same level of concentration? It is indeed very good to see that the other Indians in the tournament have done well to keep their cool but then one pair has fallen prey to it. It would be a thing to see how long others let the whole fracas not affect them and continue with their performance.
