With the Wimbledon already in its fourth day of play, the pundits have already started to make predictions as to who might emerge victorious in this year\u2019s tournament. Wimbledon is the most prestigious of all the Grand Slams and talking about the possible contenders in the tournament, one can hardly think beyond the \u201cbig three\u201d of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.\u00a0 Not only Wimbledon, every Grand Slam they enter, they start off as a contender.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s look at how much chance the \u201cbig three\u201d have at the tournament:<\/p>\n
Novak Djokovic: <\/strong>The current number and winner of Grand Slams, Novak Djokovic enter the tournament as the number one seeded player. Djokovic is the defending champion at the Wimbledon and in the Roland Garros he came to winning career Grand Slam but then Rafael Nadal foiled his ambitions. Djokovic would be looking to replicate his performance in the tournament and even though Nadal and Federer has better head to head to results against him; Djokovic had been quite dominating in recent past and does look a strong contender. He is currently going through a purple phase in his career and would look to make the most of it at the tournament. Roger Federer: <\/strong>He is the best player from the current lot on grass. Ranked world number three, Federer has won 16 Grand Slam titles including six titles at Wimbledon. He knows how it feels to be at the All-England Club and win here. His record here is enough to make him a strong contender and he has better record than both these players on grass. Rafael Nadal: <\/strong>Nadal is the second seeded player at the tournament and is fresh from his seventh Roland Garros victory. He has already won two Wimbledon titles and would be vying for this. He has better head to head results over both Djokovic and Federer. He does look in good shape and coming off from his Grand Slam victory at Roland Garros, it can help him a lot in the tournament. Going how things have shaped in past one year, a final clash with Djokovic would not be a surprise. He has a 2-1 record over Djokovic on the grass and if Nadal can continue his performance from the French Open, he can very well win his third Wimbledon title.<\/p>\n
