Greig while Delivering MCC&#8217;s Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture at the Lord&#8217;s also criticized BCCI for opposing the universal usage of the Decision Review System, according to a report in\u00a0 <strong>ESPNcricinfo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Greig said that the Test matches are sidelined because Indian board is try to make money by monopolizing on success of Twenty20 cricket from the leagues like Indian Premier League and Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>He said that for BCCI, IPL and CLT20 are much more important than the international calendar. He also criticized BCCI for browbeating smaller countries into forcing them to vote in their favour in ICC meetings. He said that BCCI controls much of the game because they control enough votes to block proposals in ICC meetings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can huff and puff as much as we like and have all sorts of external reports, but this situation can only be resolved by India accepting that the spirit of cricket is more important than generating billions of dollars; it&#8217;s more important than turning out multi-millionaire players,\u201d as Greig was quoted by <strong>ESPNcricinfo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Greig on India\u2019s policy of saying no to DRS was quoted, \u201cIndia has two reasons for opposing it: One, because its superstars had such an embarrassing experience with it in the early days. Two, the BCCI argues that the DRS is too inexact.
