Former India spinner Sunil Joshi has decided to retire from international and first class cricket. \u201cJoshi will announce his retirement from international and first-class cricket on June 21,\u201d Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) said. Left-arm spinner Joshi played for India between 1996 and 2001. Veteran Karnataka and India bowler Sunil Joshi will formally announce his retirement from international and first-class cricket on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old is currently serving as coach of the Hyderabad Ranji Trophy team and had, in effect, bowed out at the end of the 2010-11 domestic season. Joshi played 15 Tests and 69 ODIs for India between 1996 and 2001. The left-arm spinner was a mainstay of the Karnataka team since his debut in 1992-93, taking 615 first-class wickets. The Ranji Trophy semifinal loss to Baroda last January was his last first-class game.<\/p>\n
