London<\/strong>: England international goalkeeper Robert Green will leave West Ham as a free agent this summer, club chairman David Gold confirmed Sunday.<\/p>\n

“Robert Green is a free agent, he has chosen to move on,” Gold wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Green helped the Hammers to return to the English Premier League last month after the team’s relegation in 2010-2011 season, reported Xinhua.<\/p>\n

However, since Green’s six-year contract will expire at the end of this month, the goalie who joined the Hammers from Norwich in 2006 refused to extend the deal with West Ham and will leave the side as a free agent.<\/p>\n
