Winning the IPL had become a personal thing for Shah Rukh Khan. But now as his team Kolkata Knight Riders have won the coveted trophy, Shah Rukh Khan is over the moon, now with the IPL Trophy safely tucked away in Mannat, his home in Mumbai. Talking to The Times Of India, <\/strong>SRK said, \u201cI used to read, watch on television, what is being written and said about me. Sometimes it was personal. They said Shah Rukh doesn\u2019t know how to run a team, he is going through a mid-life crisis. Some things I read weren\u2019t nice. Some politician came out the other day and said Bollywood should not be allowed in IPL. My question is if Bollywood can be allowed in the Parliament, why not IPL? What kind of logic is that?\u201d<\/p>\n

Talking about the IPL title, SRK, said to TOI, <\/strong>\u201cWhenever I have thought of winning the IPL, I kept telling myself I\u2019ll fight for it, I deserve it, and everyone believes in me, I can do it. But when my team actually won it, I realised \u2013 of course, in a very beautiful way \u2013 there was just a feeling of emptiness. I think this victory has been a great lesson in life. When you believe in something and you get it, it becomes all the more bigger.\u201d <\/p>\n

Talking about the IPL controversy, the superstar said to TOI that he was not apologising to anybody. \u201cI only apologise to my kids for what happened, I apologise to myself for having gone there. I will also not take on an organization (MCA) for the actions of one or two individuals. There was a man wearing a yellow shirt that night who spoke rudely with me. If that man comes in front of me, I will beat him. I don\u2019t teach my children what is Hindu and what is Muslim. Every association has their rules and they should follow it and God bless them for that. It doesn\u2019t matter to me if I go to Wankhede or not.\u201d <\/p>\n

Meanwhile according to media reports <\/strong>the Olympians Association of India (OAI) has advised bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan to disassociate himself from the IPL and rather promote a sport that brings glory to the nation.<\/p>\n

Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders had last week won the fifth edition of the highly-popular Twenty20 cricket league after defeating Chennai Super Kings.<\/p>\n

OAI President Aslam Sher Khan shot a letter to Khan in which he congratulated him for winning the IPL title but also alleged that the league over the years has been “infested with many ills, bringing disgrace to the game”, says a report in The Indian Express.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>“It is my opinion in good faith that it is the right time for you to disassociate yourself from the IPL….the IPL is a product of a deplorable nexus between politicians across party lines, business persons and bookies whose real intention in to further their financial greed and vested interests in the name of sports,” Aslam wrote in his letter.<\/p>\n
