Rahi Sarnobhat, who won a gold and a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, booked a berth for the 2012 Olympics by winning bronze in 25-meter air pistol event at ISSF World Cup at Fort Benning in the US, recently. The 20-year-old is one of those few shooters from India who have made it big after the 2010 Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n

In an interview to Shraddha Bagdwal of Indian Sports News, Rahi<\/strong> talks about her Olympics plans, preparation and more. Excerpts: <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n ISN: How does it feel to be just few months away from the Olympics?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rahi: <\/strong>I am feeling great and extremely happy after winning my first Olympic quota and this is like a dream come true. I am proud of myself. I was not sure that I will qualify for this Olympics because I wasn\u2019t that experienced. So obviously it\u2019s awesome and I am looking forward to it.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n ISN: How well do you think you are when it comes to dealing with pressure?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rahi: <\/strong>I have had good international exposure like the World Cup, Commonwealth Games and have handled the pressure quite well. I am quite good at handling pressure so that\u2019s not a problem.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n ISN: How much do you fancy your chances of winning a medal in the Olympics?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rahi: <\/strong>I have set my personal aim of winning a medal for the country. I am not quite sure about the prospect, but then I am working on my technique and trying to be consistent with my score. I am working really hard for the Olympics. I am working on my technique to keep up the consistency of scores and really working hard for London Olympics.<\/p>\n ISN: Do you look up to anyone?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rahi: <\/strong>Any day it would be Gagan Narang. I admire him because of his attitude towards game and his consistency.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n ISN: Where do you see Indian Shooting when compared to other country?<\/strong><\/p>\n Rahi: <\/strong>Well it is developing.
