Stating that nobody can be perfect despite best preparation, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar asked the young cricketers not be scared of making mistakes, says a report in The Indian Express. <\/strong>The Master Blaster also believes that “surrendering” to the subconscious mind while batting can be a good idea.<\/p>\n

“It is good to surrender yourself to the subconscious mind (while batting). The conscious mind can sometimes create problems,” he said in an interaction with budding cricketers of a local club here on Thursday, adding that nobody can be perfect despite best preparation.<\/p>\n

“A player has to make mental adjustment and self-belief is important. If you believe in your ability, you can take on any opposition,” he said.<\/p>\n

The DNA <\/strong>writes that for a man whose career has been marked by historic and unattainable milestones, Tendulkar emphasised (as he always does) that individual goals are secondary in a team sport.<\/p>\n

And failures, he stressed, shouldn\u2019t be a bottleneck in a sportsman\u2019s journey. \u201cI\u2019m sure there\u2019s nobody in this hall who has been perfect. We are humans, we do make mistakes. Rather than cribbing, make it a point to correct them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Kolkata Knight Riders team management has prohibited its players from interacting with the media. \u201cWe have some rules and regulations that we are following,\u201d Kolkata\u2019s Bangladeshi recruit Shakib Al Hasan said. <\/p>\n

As a matter of fact, the team had hired a PR firm to arrange players’ interaction, but the agency now says they are helpless as Team Kolkata has stopped responding for quite some time, says The Times Of India report. <\/p>\n
