All credit goes to the players and the coaching staff who did all the hard work throughout the season,\u201d said goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan. \u201cThis is a major achievement in a tough league, and it\u2019s never easy as the players need to be switched on every second of the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gokulam\u2019s Ghanaian striker Elshaddai Acheampong, who currently tops the scoring charts with 14 goals to her name, praised the club management for showing their support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe players and management are all really welcoming to everyone. I believe that it\u2019s the same in the men\u2019s team as well. Everyone in the club is always supportive, and that creates a great atmosphere,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Winger Soumya Guguloth, who was watching the match on Saturday night with the rest of the team after their own victory against Kickstart FC, feels inspired, seeing the men\u2019s team getting the victory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were all watching the game after our own match, and we were happy to see Gokulam winning the title,\u201d said the India International. \u201cThis is my first season at this club, and seeing the men\u2019s team win the title also inspired me to do the same in the Hero IWL.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kerala has shown its dominance in football this season, with Gokulam Kerala winning the Hero I-League, while the state team also won the Hero Santosh Trophy. With Gokulam Kerala also leading the table in the Hero IWL, the growth of the beautiful game in the state looks imminent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese victories speak a lot about the football culture in the state, and I hope that we see more good players coming out of Kerala in the future.
