The tournament, to be played from <span data-term=\"goog_2005590518\">23 December<\/span>-14 January, will be staged across five different cities.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-35724\" src=\"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"bd 112\" width=\"520\" height=\"347\" style=\"margin: 1px; float: left;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-2048x1367.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-696x465.jpg 696w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-1068x713.jpg 1068w, https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/bd-112-1920x1282.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px\" \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Smash Masters squad will feature amongst others Women\u2019s World No.1 Tai Tzu-Ying of Taiwan and India\u2019s Men\u2019s World No.10 HS Prannoy.<\/p>\n<p>The other members of the squad are: <strong>Kamilla Rytter Juhl <\/strong>(Denmark<strong>), Lee Chun Hei Reginald<\/strong> (Hong Kong), <strong>Law Cheuk Him <\/strong>(Hong Kong), <strong>Kidambi Nandagopa<\/strong>l (India), <strong>Sourabh Verma<\/strong> (India), <strong>ASS Siril Verma<\/strong> (India) <strong>Stefani Stoeva<\/strong> (Bulgaria) and <strong>Sri Krishna Priya<\/strong> (India)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But before the star-studded roster of Ahmedabad Smash Masters take the field in the tournament, the franchise will set about finding the next big talent from the state of Gujarat, as part of their commitment towards the development of the sport in the state. The Smash Masters have initiated an unique grassroots programme-<em>Ahmedabad Smash Masters Future Stars Program<\/em>-in partnership with Gujarat Badminton Association (GBA) with an aim to scout for some talented youngsters. The first tournament, as part of this initiative, will take place for under-13 and under-15 (boys and girls), from <span data-term=\"goog_2005590519\">16-19 December<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To mark the launch, <strong>Mr. Ashish Shah \u2013 Chairman &amp; MD, Padmanabh Industries &amp; Padmanabh Sports<\/strong>, said, \u201cWe are very proud to launch the Ahmedabad Smash Masters, Gujarat\u2019s very own side in the PBL. Badminton has come up by leaps and bounds in India in the last five years, so it became a natural fit for us to be associated with it. Our squad has a mix of the best of India and the world with the likes of Prannoy and Tai Tzu-Ying.
