Bangalore: The city of Bangalore played host to the much-anticipated Indian Terrain \u2018Champion Sportive Series\u2019 as the much-vaunted sporting event began its pan India sojourn. This unique sportive event series is one of its kind in India, and aims to provide a jolt of fitness and adrenaline to the masses. The series saw an excited horde of cycling enthusiasts who had gathered to take part in this gruelling but highly rewarding event. The cycling event intends to create awareness about healthy living, and how cycling can be a form of fitness and commute.<\/p>\n
The champion sportive series has a 100km (competitive) and 50km (Non-competitive) leg as part of the event for each city. The riders from each city jostle for supremacy as they compete to be amongst the top 3 contenders. The best of the pack from each city shall then compete for Grand Finale in Delhi, where their athletic prowess and endurance shall be stretched to the limits.<\/p>\n
The event, dubbed as the \u201cSilicon Valley Sportive\u201d for Bangalore, saw a thrilling test of skill and endurance with Phanibusan Mahapatra (Timing 2 Hr and 49 Mins) grabbing the first place. Kiran Raju and Akshay Hyanki finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. Lakshmi Thangadurai with a timing of 3Hr and 18 mins emerged as the unequivocal winner in the women\u2019s category.<\/p>\n
The sporting extravaganza shall now traverse across 7 major cities of India, with the line up being as follows: Aravalli Sportive (Gurgaon), Grand Delhi Sportive (Delhi), Golconda Sportive (Hyderabad), Seven Islands Sportive (Mumbai), Deccan Sportive (Pune), Indus Valley Sportive (Chandigarh), Madras Superstar Sportive (Chennai).<\/p>\n
