\"ChelseaAs we near the business end of yet another Premier League season, the race for the title is heating up between London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n

Chelsea had all but secured the league title with a 13-point lead with 10 games remaining after a 2-1 victory over Stoke. Four games and two losses later, their lead has been cut down to a mere 4 points. With second-placed Spurs hot on their trails, the title might well be decided on the final day of the season.<\/p>\n

As It Stands<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea : Played – 32, Points – 75, GD – 38<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tottenham : Played – 32, Points – 71, GD – 46<\/strong><\/p>\n

With both teams having six games remaining Chelsea are still in pole position and the title is theirs to lose. For Spurs, the task at hand is simple, they have to win all their remaining games and hope that Chelsea draw two at the very least.<\/p>\n

Form<\/strong><\/p>\n

Currently on a seven-game winning streak in the league, Spurs have been unstoppable. With a 4-0 demolition of Bournemouth at home last weekend, they are the in-form team in the league. Meanwhile, leaders Chelsea have lost 2 of their last 4 games and are looking to bounce back after their loss to fifth placed Manchester United.<\/p>\n

Chelsea though hold a psychological edge after overcoming their rivals 4-2 in the FA cup semifinal on Saturday and our on their way to complete the double.<\/p>\n

Fixtures<\/strong><\/p>\n

On paper, Chelsea have one of the easiest run-ins in the league with Everton (A) being their only tricky fixture. Contrastingly, Tottenham face the likes of Manchester United (H) and Arsenal (H) in their final six. They also have to get past a Crystal Palace side who’ve won 5 of their last 7 games. Spurs are unbeaten at home this season and would be looking to maintain that record to maintain their title challenge.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Fixtures : Southampton(H), Everton(A), Middlesbrough(H), West Brom(A), Watford(H), Sunderland(H)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tottenham Fixtures : Crystal Palace(A), Arsenal(H), West Ham(A), Manchester United(H), Leicester(A), Hull City(A)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Injuries<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea welcomed back Thibaut Courtois and Marcus Alonso, both of whom were badly missed in the loss away to United last week. Gary Cahill was absent for the FA cup semi-final suffering from a bad virus but will hopefully be back in time for the midweek clash against the Saints.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Tottenham have no injury concerns except long-term absentees Danny Rose and Erik Lamela, with the former likely to be available for the crucial North London derby against Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Managers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Antonio Conte has been quietly confident about his team’s titles chances and insisted their title winning chances are 50\/50 after the game against United . Spurs manager, Maurico Pochettino will know fully well about the importance of the remaining fixtures and will have to ensure his team rallies back after their loss against Chelsea.<\/p>\n

So then, what can we conclude?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is the title race on? Yes, definitely. For the neutrals, it’s what they had been waiting for all this while and what had seemed impossible a couple of weeks ago.
