In fine form, the 16-year-old Vivek High School lad scored seven birdies to card five-under-65 on the final day to defeat Jay Pandaya of Ahmedabad. Bedi carded 70, 71, 67 and 65 over four days to finish with a score of 273. Bedi gained 60 points from this win.<\/p>\n
Bedi started the last day on an aggressive note with birdies on 1st, 4th ,8th,10th, 12th, 13th and18th holes.<\/p>\n
Bedi is all set to play Maharashtra Amateur Championship at Pune next week. “I am keeping my eye set at coming Asian Games and Youth Olympic Games in 2018,” he said. These are qualifying matches for next year’s Asian Games. With this maiden win, the Chandigarh youngster moved to 16th position in IGU merit list.<\/p>\n
Bedi will also represent India in True Vision Golf Tournament at Bangkok, Thailand in the first week of April. The Thailand Golf Association is hosting this annual event through Albatross Company, which is working for the promotion of golf in India.<\/p>\n
Bedi said, “It was great playing with elder players like HS Kang, Viren Thapar, Dhruv sheron, Sunnit chowrasia and Shivnaren. It was a good experience,” he said, adding that his coaches Jesse Grewal and Bob Byman were working hard on his game.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
