Representing his nation in what is only his 3rd Test and with his place in the side uncertain, the 25-year old
Karnataka treated the Chennai crowd with a knock of epic proportions against England on Monday in the Final Test at
the MA Chidambaram Stadium.<\/p>\n
His knock was only the third instance when an Indian Batsman went on to register a score in excess of 300.<\/p>\n
This knock ensured that he hogged the limelight for a good day and a half trending on Twitter India with praises pouring in from former Indian greats and several personalities from other spheres.<\/p>\n
Former Indian player and current Delhi Daredevils (of which Karun Nair is a part of) assistant coach Pravin Amre
believes the influence of former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid on Karun has paid huge dividends for the Karnataka lad..<\/p>\n
He went on to add that “Karun had shown a lot of character in his innings, it is not easy to score a triple century on any ground and with the Chennai heat in play, it only adds to the magnitude of the success achieved by Karun. He will cherish this innings for a long time to come.”<\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that Karun and Dravid have been associated with each other first with Rajasthan Royals and second, with Delhi Daredevils.
