New Delhi<\/strong>: Ashok Dinda<\/a> has improved leaps and bounds and has been one of the most influential bowlers in the current domestic season. He knows about his improvement and he gives all the credit to former bowling coach of India Eric Simmons.<\/p>\n

“When I was with Delhi Daredevils<\/a> last year, it was Simmons who told me to bowl aiming at single stump. I did practice for long hours and that helped me hit a consistent length throughout the season,” said Dinda.<\/p>\n

Dinda has taken 59 wickets in the current first class season. He also scalped his maiden List A five wicket haul to guide Bengal in the semi finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy admitted that he is making less mistakes and has matured with time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have learnt to control my swing. Earlier, I was too happy to bowl bouncers but now I know the importance of bowling fuller length deliveries. Also I have practised with shorter run-up as it helps to get the ball zip off the turf — something Ajit Agarkar has done well over the years. I can only try and give my 100 per cent when I am given an opportunity. But selection is certainly not in my hands and I am not going to lose sleep over it, \u201che added.<\/p>\n

Dinda who got selected for Asia Cup also praised Sourav Ganguly<\/a> and said that he was not surprised to get a call from Pune Warriors. “I wasn’t surprised as Dadi (Sourav Ganguly) had told me that he wants me in Pune Warriors. He has been a constant source of encouragement for me this season. Having someone of his stature on field means that your mistakes are pointed out quite easily and one can take corrective measures,” said Dinda.<\/p>\n
