{"id":2998,"date":"2012-03-06T07:01:00","date_gmt":"2012-03-06T07:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=2998"},"modified":"2012-03-06T07:01:00","modified_gmt":"2012-03-06T07:01:00","slug":"south-africa-aim-for-clean-sweep-to-claim-no-1-ranking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=2998","title":{"rendered":"South Africa aim for clean sweep to claim No 1 ranking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dunedin: <\/strong>South Africa will be aiming to carry the winning momentum from its ODI series into the three-Test series against New Zealand starting in Dunedin on Wednesday which will earn it the status of the number-one Test ranked side in the world in the Reliance <a href=\"component\/search\/?searchword=ICC&amp;ordering=&amp;searchphrase=all#content\">ICC <\/a>Test Championship table at the 1 April cut-off date for the first time since the Test rankings were introduced in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Second-ranked South Africa trails top-ranked England by just one rating point. And to move ahead of Andrew Strauss\u2019s side, Graeme Smith\u2019s men have to win all the three Tests.
