The Australian based company is a pioneer of athlete tracking technology which provides key insights into athlete injury risk, readiness &amp; return to action through their wearable devices.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, right from pre-season to their road to the title, Chennaiyin used the player tracking technology GPS devices provided by Catapult. That helped the Chennaiyin coaching staff to understand various performance metrics of each player such as distance, speed, acceleration, deceleration, explosive movements, jumps, heart rate, goal keeper dives, repeat high intensity efforts &amp; thus played a key part in improving match preparation and post-match analysis.<\/p>\n<p>The lightweight GPS device is worn in a specially designed vest between the shoulder blades of each player, providing live real time data during the training session for the coaching staff. At the end of each training session, the devices are taken off and the data is transferred into a laptop for analysis.<\/p>\n<p>The services of Catapult are used by several teams in football and also other leading teams of different sport all around the world. Some of the biggest football names to be associated with Catapult currently are Bayern Munich and Leicester City.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Catapult is proud to be the official performance partner of Chennaiyin FC for the 2016 ISL season.
