Indianapolis: The International Cricket Council today announced the USA Cricket National Advisory Groups. Head of Global Development Tim Anderson said that this decision was takken “following a detailed public application and assessment process over recent months.”<\/p>\n
Giving details he said “the primary role of these volunteer groups will be to advise on the national implementation of each strategic pillar that was identified as part of the development of the USA Cricket strategy framework.”<\/p>\n
The pillars of the framework – which received broad support during the regional Town Hall meetings in November 2015 – include participation, performance, fan and market development and a sustainable Foundation.<\/p>\n
“Due to the significant number of applications received, it was unfortunately not possible to accommodate everyone within the advisory groups. It is, however, felt that those chosen have relevant skills and experiences, and are also representative of the large and diverse USA cricket community,” said Anderson.<\/p>\n
Brian Walyers, Michael Voss, Malika Frank, Jamie Harrison, Rizwan Mohammed, Priya Singh, Kinjal Buch, Jamie Buch, Ajay Jhamb and Shelton Glasgow form the Participation Group.<\/p>\n
Usha Shuja, Aditya Mishra, Sushil Nadkarni, Ricardo Powell, Mir Ali, Dean Riddle and Julie Abbott are members of the Performance Group.<\/p>\n
Masood Yunus, Venu Palapathi, John Aaron, Lorna Austin and Kevin Hussain are members of the Fan and Market Developmen.<\/p>\n
Jim Isch, Vince Adams, Jagan Jaganthan, Gordon Alfonso, Patricia Whittaker, Shiraz Najam, Syed Shah, Priyantha Liyanage, Donna Bowes and Dr Linden Dodson are on the Sustainable Foundation panel.<\/p>\n
All groups will be coordinated by the ICC, while in addition to those named, the groups may be supplemented from time to time with other people, including some not directly involved with the USA cricket community. This may include individuals from the international cricket community and\/or the American sports community, including the US Olympic Committee.<\/p>\n
The advisory role of each group will vary, and will be discussed with each group respectively. However, the Sustainable Foundation group will have an important role to play in considering the development of a future constitution for USA cricket.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
