Mary Kom, who arrived here on Sunday evening, said her preparation is good for the trials and the ace boxer also hoped of a good show in the Games.<\/p>\n
The Olympic bronze medalist expressed happiness to be back in Shillong for the second time. “Shillong is like a home away from home…the people here are similar to the ones back in Manipur and it’s good to be here again,” she said.<\/p>\n
This will be a major event for Mary Kom after she won a gold medal in the Asian Games in South Korea in 2014. The superwoman from Manipur will compete in the 51 kg category.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, nearly 43 Top boxers from across the country are here to take part in the Test event and trials for boxing.<\/p>\n
L Sarita Devi, Sajubala Devi and Aruna Mishra among others will also be seen in action during the Test event.<\/p>\n
