Volvo will host the first \u2018Volvo World Golf Challenge\u2019 later this year. Padamjit Sandhu, director, PGTI and Tomas Emberg, managing director, Volvo Auto India announced the partnership.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been the official partners of the Avantha Masters from the past 3 years. Nowwe have joined hands with the PGTI and we are looking forward to it\u201d, said Emberg.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Top two players from the Volvo World Golf Challenge will participate in the world championship.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Padamjit Sandhu said, \u201cIt is a very exciting time for PGTI, with this partnership we expect the sport to develop the sport. Competitions like Volvo World Golf Challenge will bridge the gap between players.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He added \u201cThis tournament will see around 800 players, we expect a lot more in the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vikrant Chopra who was present at the event said, \u201cCorporate funding is very important for every game. We can take the example of cricket and can see the difference corporate like these have made the game.
