With five Gold, three Silver and three Bronze medals, the country was the best performing team of the world for the fourth year in a row and winning five gold medals was indeed a special achievement given the fact that no other country could win more than one Gold medal.<\/p>\n
At the central-council meeting held earlier in the day, the AICF amended a proposed change in the existing awards for the medal winners and it was unanimously passed. As a result, a total of Rs. 600000\/- (Rupees Six Lakhs) were distributed to the young achievers for their remarkable performance.<\/p>\n
The five Gold medal winners were awarded with a cash award of Rs. 75000\/- each while the Silver and Bronze medal winners went home richer by Rs. 45000\/- and Rs. 30000\/- respectively.<\/p>\n
The medal winners are:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.
