{"id":2425,"date":"2012-02-09T10:04:23","date_gmt":"2012-02-09T10:04:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=2425"},"modified":"2012-02-09T10:04:23","modified_gmt":"2012-02-09T10:04:23","slug":"shiva-keshavan-wins-ndtv-sporting-excellence-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiansportsnews.co.in\/?p=2425","title":{"rendered":"Shiva Keshavan wins NDTV Sporting Excellence Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New Delhi: <\/strong>Shiva Keshavan, current Asian Champion and speed record holder, received the NDTV Sporting Excellence Award on February 5.<\/p>\n<p>The Award Ceremony was the Grand Finale of the &#8216;Marks for Sports &#8211; Fit India Campaign&#8217;.\u00a0 This is a year-long nationwide fitness program brought together by NDTV and Nirmal Lifestyle and supported by the Sports Minister Ajay Maken, and actor Ranbir Kapoor as their brand ambassador.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Shiva, the other awardees in various categories included Leander Paes, Vijender Singh, Mary Kom, Rahul Bose. Milind Soman and Bipasha Basu among others. <\/p>\n<p>Shiva is now on a 2-year training programme towards his 5th Olympic participation in the Olympic Games to be held in Sochi, Russia in 2014.
