Golfers from over 30 countries will be vying honours in the three-day event. India&rsquo;s best finish has been a bronze medal.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have a pretty strong team and we are aiming for the gold,&rdquo; said Amit before the team&rsquo;s departure. &ldquo;I have fond memories of my gold medal at the Asian Games in 1982. We will strive to get home the coveted medal in the senior category,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Indian cricketer of the Century award winner Kapil Dev who has taken to golf was upbeat about the team&rsquo;s performance. &ldquo;This will be like playing in the World Cup for us. I have played regularly with every one of them and I think we gel as a team.
