Mirpur: Bangladesh not only won the second ODI against India by six wickets, they also lifted the three-match series by winning the first two matches comprehensively. Terming it to be a great moment, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza the series has been significant and they hope to keep performing like this.<\/p>\n
“To be playing in the Champions Trophy is a big achievement for us. Every time we were shaken someone took over. That is a big thing. Mustafiz has been performing very well. It has been very significant and with many series coming up, hopefully we can keep performing like this,” said Mortaza.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, disappointed with his team’s performance, Indian skipper MS Dhoni said, “It’s pretty simple to see what went wrong. We need to put runs on the board. We didn’t get to a good start and whenever there was a partnership, we lost two wickets together. You have to take risks in such a game, but if you keep losing two wickets in a row, it becomes difficult to do so.”<\/p>\n
He added, “If you have 200 on the board, it is quite easy for the other teams to chase. So I won’t blame the bowlers for this game. We as batsmen got starts but we didn’t make it big. Bangladesh are bowling well as a unit.”<\/p>\n
Man-of-the-match Mustafizur Rahman said he was very happy withhis performance. “My team-mates helped me a lot. Thanks to the crowd too for turning up despite the rain. I want to bowl even better in the third ODI,” said the bowler.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
