New Delhi: Post the Indian Men Hockey Team beating Australia in their backyard in a 5-match test series, it\u2019s now the turn of the Junior Men Hockey Team, who left for Brisbane earlier today, to play a 5 match test series in Australia scheduled from 2 to 13 December 2014. The games will be played at the Gold Coast, Australia and is in preparation for the 8th Men\u2019s Junior Asia Cup in 2015.<\/p>\n
Speaking from the Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, captain Harjeet Singh said, \u201cWe are confident of the matches we are due to play in Australia and will be looking at winning the series. Post continuing our dominance during the Sultan of Johor Cup in October this year, the team looks very confident to take on newer challenges. I am happy that we have players like Harmanpreet Singh, a very promising player who gives all of us the motivation to go for the kill\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking on the present team and upcoming series Coach Harendra Singh said, \u201cThis is a very young and capable team and as a unit they can give a tough time to the opponents on any given day. The team during the Sultan of Johor Cup showcased that they are hungry to win and is open to take on newer challenges. I will not be surprised if I see couple of players from this team graduating very soon to the Indian Men Hockey team\u201d<\/p>\n
