It was some magical bowling from Amit Mishra and Shami Ahmed which restricted the Zimbabwe batting to a small total of 183 runs. Later, Virat Kohli and Ambati Rayudu made sure that India win the match comprehensively as they knitted a 56-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
 <\/span><\/p>\n

Here we bring to you the hits and flops of the match between India and Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

HITS<\/strong><\/p>\n


Amit Mishra<\/strong>: Mishra was absolutely stunning with the ball. When all other bowlers failed to deliver, he did the trick for the Indian team. He picked up the wicket of Hamilton Masakadza and Malcolm Waller in quick succession which resulted in the batting collapse of Zimbabwe. He ended up the figures of 4\/47 after his spell of 10 overs.<\/p>\n

Sean Williams<\/strong>: Williams scored good 45 runs before he was run-out. Williams kept rotating the strikes but wicket kept tumbling down at the other end which didn\u2019t allow his side to post a competitive total.<\/p>\n

\"winningmomentviratraina3rdodi\"<\/strong>Virat Kohli<\/strong>: Kohli played another steady innings to guide India to an incredible victory. His innings of 68 runs was studded with five fours and one six and most of these boundaries came in the final phase of the Indian batting which gives a clear indication that he was playing the ball on its merit, which made him a treat to watch while chasing the modest total.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Tendai Chatara<\/strong>: Chatara was one of the positives that Zimbabwe can take away from this match. He scored 23 crucial runs which took his side to 150 plus mark. Later with the ball, he picked up the wicket of Dhawan, who was looking in good touch with the bat.<\/p>\n

Shikhar Dhawan<\/strong>: Dhawan was looking to play another sensational knock but was undone on 35. But he did his job of negating the ball in initial overs and also gave Indian innings some kind of momentum with his five crisp boundaries. His cover drive was absolutely magical but the thing that was worth watching was his technique against short-ball as he kept smashing it for fours.<\/p>\n


Shami Ahmed<\/strong>: Ahmed did his job really well by getting an early wicket and also by keeping the pressure on the batsmen with his late swing movement. He has that amazing latent but needs to add just a bit of pace which he did in his debut series against Pakistan. He ended up with the figures of 2\/25 after the nine overs.<\/p>\n

FLOPS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rohit Sharma<\/strong>: Sharma again failed to contribute and was dismissed after scoring 14 runs. He has been in not so good form in this series and what\u2019s more worrying is his old habit of going after the ball which he should ideally leave.<\/p>\n

Brian Vitori<\/strong>: Vitori started off well but once Dhawan and Kohli found their feet, they started milking him for runs. He did get the wicket of Rayudu but by that time the fate of the match was sealed. He got smashed for seven fours because of which he ended up with the figures of 1\/53 after eight overs.
 <\/p>\n

Elton Chigumbura<\/strong>: Chigumbura didn\u2019t have a good day at all. He couldn\u2019t contribute with the bat as he was dismissed for three runs but what was worrying was his bowling. He gave away 21 runs in the three overs that he bowled.<\/p>\n

Vusi Sabanda<\/strong>: Sabanda wasn\u2019t as explosive as he was in the last match. He didn\u2019t disturb the scorers as he was dismissed for duck.<\/p>\n

Sikandar Raza<\/strong>: Raza steadiness was missing in this match and Ahmed made a good use of it. His half-hearted shot to the widish delivery that was bowled by Shami managed to take the edge of his willow. He ended up contributing just one run to his side\u2019s total.
