Nurburgring: The first day practice sessions of German Grand Prix passed without incident at the Nurburgring track where Lewis Hamilton’s Mercedes and Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull topped the times in each of the two practice sessions on Friday.<\/p>\n
Sebastian Vettel, who finished at the top in second practice session, said, \u201cI wasn\u2019t so happy with the car this morning and Mercedes were quick, but in the afternoon we were in better shape. We\u2019ll see, but so far I am happy. To be clear about yesterday and the GPDA meeting: the general agreement was that we\u2019re happy Pirelli bought a new specification of tyre for this event and want to thank them for their flexibility and reaction times \u2013 they were able to find a solution in only a couple of days. The circumstances that we raced under in Silverstone were not what we can accept, but I don\u2019t think we will see those issues again.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Mark Webber, who finished third in second practice said, \u201cIt was okay today and we had dry weather, which was good \u2013 it meant we could get our runs done on both compounds and the new tyres seem okay. Pirelli have done what they can and gone back to tyres they know work here. It\u2019s impossible to tell how they will affect the performance of the car \u2013 but it feels comfortable so far.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
