Deepak was quoted by Hindustan Times<\/strong> saying, \u201cSreesanth has never had any interaction to any bookie and he has not received any money. All the actions taken by police against him are also not legalised as he has been arrested on the grounds of mere speculation and not on the evidence. There is no point of confession when the crime is not committed by him.\u201d<\/p>\n S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankit Chavan were arrested on Thursday by the Delhi Police along with 11 bookies in the case of spot-fixing. All three cricketers will remain in police custody under the five-day remand. They were being arrested for receiving of payments of upto Rs 60 lakh just for giving away determined number of runs in an over.<\/p>\n According to the recent reports of Times of India,<\/strong> Sree’s lawyer said, \u201cPolice can surely claim anything they like to at this very moment but players will only be proved guilty if they confess it before the court. If we look at the case more closely we will come to know that carrying a towel is not such a big thing as almost 90 per cent of the players use towels.
