New Delhi: The 3rd edition of the Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2013 will be played at Pune, Maharashtra from 28 May-10 June 2013.<\/p>\n
As many as 38 teams will be participating in the championship which will be played on a league cum knockout basis on the Major Dhyan Chand Polygrass Hockey Stadium Pimpri and Shiv Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex in Pune. This edition will see four new teams including Comptroller and Auditor General, Sports Authority of India, Mumbai Hockey Association Limited and Namdhari XI.<\/p>\n
The inaugural match shall be played between Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy and Tripura in Pool B on 28 May 2013. The final match will be played on 10 June 2013.\n<\/p>\n
All the 38 teams are divided into eight pools. Defending Champions Punjab have been drawn in Pool A with Delhi, Association of Indian Universities, Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n
Hockey India selectors and Government Observer will be watching the performance of all the players to select the probables for future camps.<\/p>\n
Hockey India will provide host The Hockey Maharashtra a grant of Rs 20 Lakh for organizing the championship.<\/p>\n

Pool A- Punjab, Delhi, Association of Indian Universities, Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh<\/p>\n

Pool C- Karnataka, Services Sports Control Board, Bihar, Goa and Sports Authority of India<\/p>\n
Pool D- Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, The Hockey Maharashtra, Andaman & Nicobar and Mumbai Hockey Association Limited<\/p>\n
Pool E- Jharkhand, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, Bengal and Comptroller & Auditor General<\/p>\n
Pool F- Railways, Hockey Bhopal, Sashastra Seema Bal, Jammu & Kashmir and Namdhari XI<\/p>\n
