Public prosecutor Kiran Bendbar was quoted by Indian Express<\/strong> saying, \u201cFurther custody of the accused is required for tracing the absconding bookies and to find out about their financial transactions.\u201d<\/p>\n Meiyappan, the 35-year-old principal of IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was arrested on the night of May 25 for his alleged involvement in the IPL betting scandal. He came into lime light after Vindoo spilled the beans of his involvement in betting.<\/p>\n Vindoo was arrested on May 22 for his alleged links with bookies, admitted to having placed bets on CSK\u2019s team owner behalf.<\/p>\n But the defence counsel was quoted by Hindustan Times<\/strong> saying, \u201cEnough custody has been given to the police and now they can be remanded in judicial custody.
