It seems that former England cricketers has already started playing mind games against their arch-rivals Australia before the Ashes series. The battle field of mind-games has been scripted by Australian coach who recently sacked four Aussie players from their squad because of their in-disciplinary behaviour in the dressing room.<\/p>\n
As per the reports of The Hindu<\/strong>, former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott was quoted saying that Mickey Arthur should not treat his players like school children\u201d and that he finds the idea of setting the cricketers written tasks as \u201cchildlike\u201d.<\/p>\n Australia had sacked four players, including vice-captain Shane Watson, for the Third Test against India after the cricketers failed to prepare a three-point presentation on how they could improve the team\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n According to the recent reports of Deccan Chronicle<\/strong>, Boycott was quoted saying that Arthur could have spoken to the players in private rather than behaving like a teacher. \u201cThey should improve the coaching and management staff first and then everything will fall in place. You cannot treat your players like a school-kid who if doesn\u2019t does his homework and slap them. He should talk to them in person to sort out the things,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Boycott suggested if he was the Australian Coach then he would have talked to them more as a friend and a mentor not like a teacher.
