In the first two tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Indian batsmen played some brilliant innings to side-line the Aussie bowling. As per the recent reports of The Hindu<\/strong>, Peter Siddle said, \u201cWe have never disturbed the Indian batsmen for too long and that\u2019s why they have added heaps of runs in this series.\u201d\n<\/p>\n \u201cFast bowling is our key strength and from the very first test we have been trying our level best to stop the flow of runs and to pick up wicket at quick sessions just like what we did today.\u201d he added.<\/p>\n As per the reports in The Times of India<\/strong> he was quoted saying , “We haven\u2019t applied ourselves and that\u2019s why our bowling is not looking up to the mark. Moreover, it won\u2019t be a fair thing if we don\u2019t give any credit to Indian batsmen and our spinners are very new and it would be too early to say that they are not good enough to spin the ball.”<\/p>\n “It’s going to be a great challenge for every one and if Hughes comes up with something special tomorrow then it will be a good exciting contest. Our first priority will be to not lose any wicket in first one hour so that we can get a better result from the previous match,” Siddle said.<\/p>\n In response to Australia’s 408, India were bowled out for 499 that included knocks of 187 and 153 by Dhawan and Vijay. Siddle got five scalps including those of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the reports in Deccan Chronicle<\/strong> had quoted him saying , \u201cWe have been doing well but in bits and pieces and that has been a significant difference between both the sides. If we would have picked up the couple of wickets on the third day then story would have been quite different from what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, “I think it has been a very good wicket, it hasn’t broken that much at all and played pretty well.
