Ishant Sharma was all praises for his new-ball opening bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has been striking quite early in this series against Australia. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been deceiving the Australian top-order with his seam and swing bowling. Indian pace attack has been looking proactive in this series and is hopeful to continue their good form in the final test of the four-match series.<\/p>\n
Ishant feels that he is a completely different bowler compared to his new ball partner as they have different skill sets. He was quoted by Times of India<\/strong> saying , \u201cMy bowling is very different from Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar’s nickname). He is more effective with the new ball as he can get a lot of swing. I am more effective with the old ball as I get more of a reverse swing in Indian conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n “I am working on my reverse swing and looking it to make more effective as these conditions are ideal for it. I have being enjoying my role of a senior bowler and trying to restrict the flow of the runs and to create the pressure so that Bhuvi can take the complete advantage of it.\u201d<\/p>\n As per the recent reports in Indian Express<\/strong>, the spearhead of Indian bowling was quoted saying, “If you observe very closely then you will realize that conditions in the beginning are not that useful for swing bowlers but once the ball starts reversing, you can then set attacking fields but it’s more important to know when and how to attack on these flat pitches.”<\/p>\n He added, “I didn\u2019t bowl as much overs I should because the spinners were chipping in with the wickets very early and by the time ball starts reversing, Australians were piled up. But Mohali\u2019s wicket was having much more for the quickies and we did well to make good use of it.\u201d<\/p>\n He was quoted by DNA<\/strong> saying , “Cricket is all about team work whether you do it in batting or in bowling. At times, you need to be a front-line bowler and do the job or just too keep the batsmen quite for as long as could and make it a tough task for batsmen and allow the bowling partner to taste some success.”<\/p>\n Ishant didn\u2019t spill the beans about two very important aspects of tomorrow\u2019s match, first one was what kind of wicket it looks like and will Ajinkya Rahane will make his debut tomorrow. Meanwhile a report in the The Hindu<\/strong>, quoted him saying on exclusion of four Aussie players because of some in-disciplinary action, “Well, to be very honest this is their private matter and we don\u2019t even know the complete story so it\u2019s better not to draw any conclusion what we don\u2019t know,” he replied.<\/p>\n \u201cThe environment in dressing room is very positive with three back to back wins. We failed in Australia because we didn\u2019t apply ourselves and were bogged down in every department. But this time we are applying ourselves on the field rather than making excuses about pitches. It\u2019s all about giving your 100-percent for the team rather than focussing on consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n Ishant also wished speedy recovery to the injured Shikhar Dhawan, who will miss the match with a fractured left knuckle. “I felt really bad that Shikhar will have to sit out after a dream debut. But injuries are part and parcel of a player’s life and you can’t really help it.
