Speaking to NDTV on the sidelines of the Sunfeast biscuits ‘Eat n Meet Sachin’ contest on Wednesday in Bengaluru, Sachin said, \u201cI am not God of cricket. As everyone knows, god doesn\u2019t make mistakes but I do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tallking about his role models, Sachin said that he always admired Sunil Gavaskar and Viaian Richards. \u201cI always wanted to be the mixture of Sunil Gavaskar and Vivian Richards as both were my role models in my early days,\u201d said the Master, revealed that instead of being happy on his 100th, he simply wondered why it took him so long to achieve that milestone..<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes, I wonder, how come it took me so long to get my 100th hundred especially when the billions of people were backing me for it. I used to ask question to my God why you make my fans wait for so long. I practice so hard,\u201d said Sachin.<\/p>\n
On his die-hard passion for cricket he said, \u201cI used to maintain balance between my cricket and studies. I always used to reach for my practice before time and used to stay for long. Even if it was dusk, I still used to play outside and that\u2019s what kept my hunger of scoring runs going on and on. Without cricket, I would have been nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter whether you have 10 pair of jeans or 20 T-shirts, once you get the Jersey of Indian Team that is the best thing that can happen to you.
